Lawrence Shaw is a landscape archaeologists base in the U.K that specialises in heritage management, remote sensing, landscape survey and protected landscapes.
He holds and degree in Archaeology from Bournemouth University, a Masters in Landscape Archaeology, GIS and Virtual Environments from the University of Birmingham, and is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Winchester looking at the use of social media to understand users of protected landscapes.
Lawrence has works on a series of internationally renowned projects including the Stonehenge Riverside Project, Google: Seeing-beneath-Stonehenge, Qatar Historic Environment Records Project, Rapa Nui, Roots and Routs of the Cook Islands Project, Madinat al-Zahra Survey Project (Spain), the Vlochos Archaeology Project (Greece) and spent eight years as an archaeologist for the New Forest National Park Authority. He is currently employed by the Forestry England as their Lead Historic Environment Advisor.
Lawrence is also a co-host on the Career in Ruins Podcast and YouTube series, and more recently the Time Team Dig Watch series and new episodes.
